Alex woke up, after having an excellent sleep. At first, she was relaxed, just laying there, in her bed, until she looked at her clock. It was ten minutes past when her school started. Quickly, she jumped out of bed and hopped into the shower. She wouldn't have taken one, except that she didn't take one the day before, choosing instead to sleep in. After a five minute shower, she dried off and quickly got dressed. Grabbing her pack, her keys, and a granola bar, she rushed out the door and into her car. Miss Hart parked her car at 9:02, 32 minutes after school started, and ran to the front doors. After bursting in, she went to the office and got a tardy slip. Starting to speed walk, Alex went in the direction of her locker.

He woke with a stir, beams of sunlight hitting Vargas' face as he stretched his tired body and slunk himself out of his den. "Yaaawww boy...." suddenly, his eyes flew open, realizing that it must've been REALLY late. Damnit..!! He threw his backpack on and was off, at a full sprint towards the Red Rose High School. "Second time already I'm gonna be late... dammit!" At the edge of his side of the woods, Vargas took a quick rest, and continued jogging the rest of the way to the building. He entered, the cool AC enveloping him, as he grabbed a tardy slip from the office, and began to sprint again down the hall.
Ignoring the teachers' warnings to slow down, Vargas ran around the corner when... BAM!! A flash of white. Recovering from the fall, he slowly raised his aching head to see books, and pages fluttering to the ground, a warm trickling could be felt on the inside of his lip. Realizing he had crashed straight into someone, a girl, he began to sputter apology after apology, not even sure if she was conscious or not. "Oh wow... I'msosorryIdidntmeantorunintoyouIwasntwatchingwhereIwasgoingand..." Vargas began frantically picking up the books and papers, continuing to spout apologies, afraid of how the girl would react when she awoke...
