A Tree For A Seat

Lavender walked into the courtyard with a sack and a book in her hand.
She climbed her favorite tree swiftly and smoothly. She wasn't surprised when her fox immediately jumped on her lap. Despite the noise from chatter, Lavender was still able to read her book, enjoying her lunch while doing so. When she first started to climb trees, she could not stand the uncomfortableness of the bark against her. But, she eventually got used to it. She could see multiple heads in the rose gardens. One was a boy who was in her art class. He seemed pretty nice, but she never spoke directly to him. Another belonged to Kylie Queen, the brat of the school. She was sitting with her crowd of friends, and a little ways off, her admirers (girls and boys).
While munching on her chips, Lavender noticed her long legs. She was almost up to her dad's height, and couldn't wait to pass it. She had been told multiple times she should try out for basketball. yuck she thought. What is the point of the sport? It is much more valuable to know how to use weaponry. Once done with her chips, Lavender pulled out her tuna sandwich. Savvy looked up, and the look in her eye told Lavender that Savvy wanted some of the tuna. Having always been a sucker for her pet, she pulled out some tuna and let Savvy lick it off of her hand.
