Getting a Purrrfect Gift

When Damon walked through the door, a bell chimed. The way his shoes hit the carpet hardly made any noise, and he walked around, looking at kittens. It may have seemed kind of odd for him to be looking at cats, but he was trying to find a good gift for his step-sister, Zoe, who he was surprisingly close to. Seeing one he thought she would like, he asked Cheshire Cat if he could take a look at the kitten and hold it.
Of course he said yes. Damon thought he seemed nice, but the rumors at school disagreed. According to them, Cheshire Cat was abusive to his son. The kitten, a female, seemed friendly and snuggled up to Damon. Thinking she would just be perfect, he asked how much the furry tabby would be. Cheshire Cat replied with $75, which wasn't too surprising. Thinking that was a good price, Damon threw in a couple of toys the fur ball seemed to like and a collar. He didn't think he would need a kennel.
