History
Family: Daughter of Leo Valdez (mechanic)
Pets: A small black cat named Bartholomew (Mew for short)
Past: Amelia's father, Leo, and her mother, Calypso, met in Leo's repair shop. They were married soon after and later had a daughter. Amelia. Amelia has never met her mom. She doesn't know if she's dead or she just left because her father never talks about her. When Amelia was 12, her father's business was failing. They could barely afford enough food, much less the large house they were living in. To solve their money problem, Amelia's dad decided to move to Wonderland. there, they could move into a smaller house they could afford and Amelia could go the to school there and continue her education. Leo hoped he could restart his repair shop there also. Once he had found a decent place on Mushroom street for them to live, they moved.
Amelia was terrified to leave the place she had called home her entire life, but eventually, through explaining, coaxing, and bribing (that's where Bartholomew came in) , her father eventually convinced her it was the right idea. She never made any close friends in middle school, and now, entering high school, her dad is a bit concerned. Her grades are perfect, her teachers like her, and she gets along with her classmates. Everything should be all right, but Amy has never once brought home another person her age. The summer before school started up again, Leo told her that she had to start trying to make friends, and that it would make him very happy if she did. She agreed, with no intention whatsoever to follow through.
RolePlay Sample
RP Sample: Amelia strode quickly along the sidewalk, her cheeks flushed and her breath coming in short puffs. It was the week before school started, and she wanted to take a closer look at the school she was going to. She had glimpsed it before on multiple walks through Wonderland, but she wanted to look at it properly this time. Looking up long enough to read the street sign, she noticed someone across the street from her. Instead of crossing directly to the other side of the road, she turned left and then crossed it from the other side. As soon as she could see most of the building she was headed for, her strides slowed and she attempted to catch her breath. She crossed one last street and stood directly in front of the school. "Rose Red" she breathed. Deciding that looking through the window was a good idea, Amelia walked up to the door and peered through the small section of glass. She tried the door handle. It was locked. She let her breath condense on the frigid surface before tracing two Rs in the spot it had made.
After circling the school, checking to see if any of the doors were open and scoping out the place she was likely to spend a lot of her time, Amelia headed back home. Her thin black cat, Bartholomew, greeted her at the door with a few loud meows. She smiled affectionately and picked him up, stroking his head. When they reached Amy's room, she set him on her bed, where he promptly stretched before curling up into a little fuzzy ball. Amelia sat at her desk and opened her laptop. No new emails, but there was an update on a blog she was following. She read it quickly, smiling at the joke, before flopping into
her beanbag and opening her book.
